Do constant Wi-Fi network notifications drive you crazy? If you can you can get rid of it. Visit settings and look for Wi-Fi. Go to the "ask to join network" area and turn it off. If at some point you decide to join up with a network, there is no need to worry. You can still join a network whenever you want, you just no longer have to deal with annoying, constant notifications.
Although you may deem it unnecessary, it is smart putting a safety feature on the iPad. You have no idea when or where you might misplace your iPad or get separated from it, and it has a lot of personal information on it.
The default setting provides a generic signature that indicates your email was sent via iPad. This is a very dull signature; however, many iPad owners leave it on. Make it a personal message instead. Click on Settings, Mail, Contacts, Calendar and then Signature.
