About Me

I’m just someone ordinary who likes to blog about extraordinary things. My blog is an escape from my life. Just like anyone else out there, sometimes life can get really tough. It’s really nice to have a place to escape.

Here are some things I love (other than blogging):

Music – I love how music can change my mood in an instant. Jazz is perfect for a rainy day at home. Classical music is perfect for reading. And techno is excellent for exercise. Music can also make my body move, releasing all my body’s tension.I don’t know how I can live without music. I take my iPod everywhere.

Chocolates – It’s sweet, it’s fatty, but it’s oh so addictive. I love chocolates! I can’t go a day without them. I eat them after lunch and after dinner and in between. They’re a little piece of heaven.

Books – Books are another form of escape for me. The benefit of books as an escape is endless. It’s light, portable, long-lasting and exciting. I grew up with books as my best friend (yes, I’m a bookworm). Many years later, it’s still there when I need it.

Going to the Movies – Okay, I might sound like an ‘escape’ nut. But movies is also a form of escape for me. I love how I can forget about my life and become engrossed in some character’s life for about two hours.

Walking in Nature – I’ve been a city girl all my life. But luckily, in surburban Sydney, there are loads of nature abound. I love walking in my neighbourhood, where there are loads of trees and parks. You can even do bushwalks nearby. And if I get really stressed, the Blue Mountains is only an hour and a half away.

The Rain - I love the smell, the sound and the feeling of rain. I find it really romantic, and I don’t know why. A perfect afternoon would be staying at home with a cup of tea, reading a book while it’s pouring rain outside.

Paris- I love this city. I’ve been there quite a few times but I didn’t feel like it’s enough. The longest I’ve stayed there was one week. My dream is to stay for at least a year and just absorb the culture.

Autumn – My favourite season. Summer in Sydney is hot and humid. Winter is a bit too cold for my liking. I hate wearing loads of layers. And spring means hay fever.

Baking - I love to bake. It relaxes me. I love how mixing eggs with butter, sugar and flour creates somethings sweet and beautiful. I hate cooking, it feels like a chore to me. But baking is a totally different story.
