The Complete List of the 2012 Oscar nominations

Jennifer Lawrence was chosen to read out the nominations. She looked beautiful and confident. As for the nominations, most of them were predictable but there are some surprises as well.

One of them was, who the hell is Damien Bechir? I had to google him to find out. He wasn’t even nominated for the Golden Globes. Or was he?

Also, Tilda Swinton was absent from the Best Actress list. And Rooney Mara is in? Really? I really enjoyed ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ but if anyone should get nominated because of that movie, it should be director David Fincher. And he was snubbed.

Ryan Gosling isn’t nominated. I guess this means he won’t attend the ceremony?

HUGO has the most nominations, followed by ‘The Artist’. I haven’t seen ‘The Artist’ but I can’t wait. As for ‘HUGO’, I love this movie to pieces. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Are there really only 2 nominees for Original Songs? And one of them is from ‘The Muppets’?

Angie is just soo gorgeous. Even though she’s one of Hollywood’s biggest star, I have this perception that she’s quite down-to-earth. She’s certainly not one of those people who thinks that Asia is just dirty and full of poor people. This video is great, and I’m happy that she cares so much about the country where one of her kids came from.

Other than Scooby Doo, Winnie is probably one of my favourite childhood memories. There’s just something so adorable about this bear. Zooey’s voice really suits the movie’s atmosphere and I can’t wait to hear the songs she performs for this movie. I’m also doing this post so I can post some of her pictures. She’s got such a pretty face. Her eyes are amazing.

Daniel Craig dressed in drag to support International Women’s Day

The two-minute short, specially commissioned for International Women’s Day, sees 007 star Daniel Craig undergo a dramatic makeover as he puts himself, quite literally, in a woman’s shoes.

Directed by acclaimed ‘Nowhere Boy’ director/conceptual artist Sam Taylor-Wood, scripted by Jane Goldman (‘Kick Ass’) and featuring the voice of Dame Judi Dench reprising her role as ‘M’, the film will be screened in cinemas and streamed online in a bid to highlight the levels of inequality that persist between men and women in the UK and worldwide. It is the first film featuring Bond to be directed by a woman.
