Expert Tips.....

Is your iPad noisy? Access your Settings and select the Sound tab. You are able to get rid of alerts if you get a message. If you do not want to turn these alerts off, reduce their sound level. Are you aware that you may use Street View in the Google Maps app? Search until you see a red pin on the map. Tap that pin to select the white and red person icon, which will load Street View. You don't need to press the small camera icon that's found near the bottom left of the screen to see videos or pictures you just took. Instead, you can use one finger to swipe to the right, and voila, there is your picture or video. To view photos you've taken in the past, continue swiping left.

Were you aware that the Google Maps app lets you use the feature "Street View?" Perform a search to make a red pin appear on the map. Tap the pin and tap the icon that looks like a person. Street view will then open in the app. If privacy is a big concern for you, you can set the iPad to erase its data if too many login attempts fail in a row. This feature erases everything recorded on your phone after someone has tried and failed 10 times. Are you tired of typing? Give the dictation feature a try instead. On the keyboard you can tap the key that looks like a microphone, say what you want out loud, and then click it again. When you click on it again you can turn the words that you said into text and edit them.

You can use shortcuts for messages. One shortcut is to double tap the space bar to enter a period and space after a sentence. You don't have to do it manually this way. You have other options besides the on-screen keyboard. A tiny touch keyboard that is projected on your iPad's screen can be tough to use. In this case, you can purchase a Bluetooth keyboard that connects to your iPad. You will feel more like you're using a laptop and be able to type more efficiently with the external keyboard. Is your iPad making a lot of noise? Go to the Sound tab in Settings. You can eliminate the sound alerts you are getting when new mail arrives or calendar reminders occur. You can also reduce their volume.

Viewing PDF documents on an iPad is very easy. In addition to being able to view the documents on your iPad, you can also sync up with other devices to view the documents on them. You can trade them back and forth, as well. This is a useful tool for business people, students and anyone else on the go. Your iPad's Smart Cover is very important. It serves a number of functions. First off, it can be drawn over your iPad's screen to make your device go to sleep. Second, it can attach to the magnets built onto the side of your new iPad, making it a perfect fit. The cost of the cover is just $39, so be sure to get one. If you watch a lot of iPad videos, you will need a long power cord. That way, you can easily position your iPad for easy viewing and save battery power for times when you aren't near an electrical outlet.

To show all of the apps that you have running, you'll need to double tap the Home button. You will see a bar complete with all applications currently running, which can then be accessed by hitting the relevant icon. This will help you remember what apps are running and let you close the ones not in use. "Ding!" Does the chiming of your iPad whenever you receive another email drive you crazy? Were you aware that this feature can be disabled? Just select your Settings button and then General after that. Finally, click on the Sounds option. You will be able to turn the sound off here or adjust the volume. Do you find your eyes straining when reading on your iPad? Adjusting the brightness will help cure this problem and make reading enjoyable once again. You can access your brightness settings by going to the settings menu, or in the app itself.
