If you want to review a photo or video you just shot, you do not have to select the camera icon on the bottom left of the screen. Just swipe your finger to the right to find the video or picture you just took. Simply wipe to the left in order to check out older pictures or videos. Do you wish to open PDF files with an iPad? Just send them to your email and open them on the iPad using iBooks. If you have access to a computer, you can choose to sync PDFs with your iPad by using the book tab on the iTunes app. Here are a couple of ways to display a PDF. You can open it within iTunes and sync the file with your iPad, or you have the option of emailing it to yourself. Try them both out to see which method is best for your needs.

A bright screen drains your battery, so turn down the brightness. This is extremely helpful if you're expecting a message or email of great importance and your battery is running low. To do this, double-click the Home button, swipe to the left and adjust the slide with the sun icon. You can copy and paste text on your iPad. Tap and hold text you want copied, and hit select to pick the sentence you desire. After the text section is highlighted, tap again and choose to copy. Then tap again to paste your text. Do you not like having Google set as the default search engine? If so, there is a way for you to change this. In the settings app, navigate to Safari > Search Engine. You can then change the default search engine if you desire to do so.

If you would rather not have Google as a default search engine, that can be changed. Go to the Settings menu, choose Safari and then choose Search Engine. You can use alternatives like Bing or Yahoo instead of Google. Those who have previously used the iPad already know hot great and time-saving this device is. However, to maximize its benefits, you have to spend time learning about it. You will be able to make the most of your iPad use, however, simply by following the information that has been provided to you here. Accessing your bookmarks can be quick and easy. All you need to do is change your settings so that the Bookmark bar is always displayed. In your Safari settings, choose the option to always keep your bookmarks bar on. This way, you won't have to do so much clicking to find your favorite places.

When the iPad freezes up, do a soft reboot. Just hold the power and home button at the same time and for a few seconds to do this. Doing this properly will restart the device. If you just want to force an app to close, hold down just the home button for a few seconds. Don't forget how many apps you are running at once. You'll find they quickly build up in numbers. You can easily see the running apps by double clicking the home button. These active apps will show up at the very bottom of your display in a bar. Swipe down to get rid of the bar when you are done. You view two lines by default when you see new emails. You might want to see more than that. Go to the Settings and then tap on Mail. After you go to "mail", choose "contacts" and "calendar" in order to see additional lines of text before opening your messages.

The factory settings set your email signature to say that it was sent from your iPad. Many people just leave it, but that's fairly boring. You can very easily change it and make it much more personal. Visit "mail" in "settings," select "contacts" followed by "calendar," and then select "signature" to make your changes. Your iPad supports the Street View option of Google Maps. Search for an address. A red pin will appear on your map. Tap the pin and a small icon will appear. Tap this icon and you will be able to access Street View.
