Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Olsen, Rooney Mara and others are on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue

They look so gorgeous on this cover. Mia Wasikowska & Jessica Chastain are my favourite looks but Rooney Mara looks weird with her pale pink dress, loud make up and incredibly dark hair. Shailene Woodley looks gorgeous in her pink dress, I almost didn’t recognise her, though. To see more about this photoshoot and some video interviews with some of the actresses, please click here.

This is a ‘Hunger Games’ post

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson & Liam Hemsworth pose for the cover of THR. There’s also a cute ‘behind-the-scenes’ video of the photoshoot after the cut. If you’re a fan of the books like I am…you’d be as excited about this movie. And it’s only a month to go before we can see it. FINALLY.

The Complete List of the 2012 Oscar nominations

Jennifer Lawrence was chosen to read out the nominations. She looked beautiful and confident. As for the nominations, most of them were predictable but there are some surprises as well.

One of them was, who the hell is Damien Bechir? I had to google him to find out. He wasn’t even nominated for the Golden Globes. Or was he?

Also, Tilda Swinton was absent from the Best Actress list. And Rooney Mara is in? Really? I really enjoyed ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ but if anyone should get nominated because of that movie, it should be director David Fincher. And he was snubbed.

Ryan Gosling isn’t nominated. I guess this means he won’t attend the ceremony?

HUGO has the most nominations, followed by ‘The Artist’. I haven’t seen ‘The Artist’ but I can’t wait. As for ‘HUGO’, I love this movie to pieces. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Are there really only 2 nominees for Original Songs? And one of them is from ‘The Muppets’?

Here’s a video of Jennifer, reading the nominations:

Anyway, here are the full list of Nominees:

Actor in a Leading Role

Demián Bichir in “A Better Life”
George Clooney in “The Descendants”
Jean Dujardin in “The Artist”
Gary Oldman in “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”
Brad Pitt in “Moneyball”

Robert Pattinson, Emma Stone, Ian Somerhalder and many famous faces attend the People Choice Awards 2012

Seems like this award festival is loaded with young and upcoming actors. Emma Stone looks so gorgeous here. I wish Andrew Garfield was there as well.

Twenty upcoming young actors/actresses in Hollywood at the moment

Well, they’re going to be the next Leo di Caprio, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Matt Damon or Natalie Portman. They’re young, beautiful, determined and talented. Here’s my list (not in a particular order).

1) Andrew Garfield (28 years old)

He’s the new Spiderman, he was brilliant as Eduardo Saverin in ‘The Social Network’ and he’s heartbreaking in ‘Never Let Me Go’. He’s definitely one of the best actors out there.

Jennifer Lawrence’s gorgeous ‘Teen Vogue’ photoshoot

Jennifer is really growing on me. I’ve only seen her in one movie (Winter’s Bone) but she’s amazing in it. I’m looking forward to seeing her as Katniss.

Here’s what she said to ‘Teen Vogue’ about playing Katniss:

“The cool thing about Katniss is that every fan has such a personal relationship with her, and they understand and know her in a singular way. She’s incredibly powerful, brave, and tough—and yet she has a tenderness and complexity.”

Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen from ‘The Hunger Games’

I’ve seen ‘Winter Bone’ and it’s definitely a good movie…but Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss? This is one of the most coveted female lead role other than Bella Swan or Lisbeth Salander. I always imagined it would be Hailee Steinfeld. Well, I guess they’ll have to dye her hair and turn her into a brunette. I hope she doesn’t disappoint. I love ‘The Hunger Games’ series. It’s one of those book series that’s bound to be movies, because it’s soo thrilling, graphic and exciting.

Actresses get themselves ‘dolled-up’ for the Oscars 2011 red carpet

Wow, they really pull out the plug for the biggest award show for the movie industry. There seems to be quite a few red gowns this year. I like Anne Hathaway’s Valentino gown and Michelle William’s Chanel couture gown as well. Mila Kunis and her lavender Elie Saab gown is probably my favourite. Which one is your favourite?

Michelle Williams – maybe aiming for the ‘ice queen’ look and pulling it perfectly. I always adore her.
