Do you want to get rid of the chime when you receive a new email? You can change this! Find your Settings tab, then go to General. When you are in General, then go to Sounds. In this area, you will be able to adjust your sound settings for NEW MAIL. Control all of the notifications you get. Sometimes, you'll find alerts to be annoying. These can be changed under notifications, which is found in settings. This allows you to disable alerts from apps where instant notification isn't necessary. Once you do this, only the most important apps will give notifications. If your volume buttons are unresponsive, go into settings and select General, then Sounds. Make sure Change With Buttons is set to On and your buttons will work. The volume slider helps adjust your volume as well.

In order to extend your iPad's battery life, turn on the auto-brightness feature. Then, the iPad adjusts the lighting to its surroundings. This method is a great one for controlling your battery life with the screen brightness, which will increase the amount of time you can use your iPad whenever you aren't charging it. Navigate to Settings and then choose 'Brightness & Wallpaper'. You can download the pictures that you take right onto your iPad. Simply remove the SD card from your camera, then insert it into the newest iPad's SD card slot. The iPad sees the storage device, and you can pull the photographs off it. "Sent from my iPad" is what people will see if you don't change the default signature. Most people don't bother changing it, and this can be rather tedious. It is possible, however, to customize your signature. Under mail, you will have to go to contacts and calendar, at which point you can alter your signature.

When using iBooks, dim the screen for a natural look. The most obvious way to do this is to use the settings app to lower the brightness, but there's a shortcut. You can also use the setting in the iBooks app. An alternative to charging your iPad in the front is to try putting the plug in the back if you are having trouble. You may not be aware that USB ports can have different power capabilities. The ones in the back tend to be higher powered. If this kind of recharging is just not successful at all, get a USB adapter for a standard wall outlet. Is your iPad noisy? You should go to your Settings and choose the Sound tab. You will be able to turn off the alerts you get when you receive a new email or you have a calendar event reminder. IF you want to hear the notifications you can also turn them down.

Just swipe the screen to the right and your content will appear. Swipe left in a continuous motion to see prior photos. Double tap the word you'd like to copy, it's as simple as that! It will be difficult to copy entire paragraphs this way, though. Four taps on the text will copy a whole paragraph for you. That works for addresses, paragraphs and the URL bar. If you're not able to charge your iPad using the front of the computer, consider trying the back. This can easily be accomplished in a just one step. Access the Settings, choose Safari and then Search Engine. Choose your new search engine from the list. You can choose between Bing, Yahoo or Google.
